The Australian Motorcycling Competition Association (AMCA) has come about through necessity.

With ever diminishing access to public spaces for motorcycling along with over regulation & over governance of the sport, the statistics show the sport has suffered a 1.2% decline in annual licences since 2003 to 2023, this is decline is despite a population of growth of 7 million across Australia.
It is our belief that an insurance company should play no role in deciding the rules of the sport or how the sport should be governed, the sport has experienced long-term ongoing issues obtaining & retaining public liability cover despite further tightening of regulation & governance.

More recently the AMCA witnessed a member based & funded national body lose their transparency by not allowing the clubs, their members and promoters to undertake their due diligence and assess their exposure to the risk of losing any protection the insurance may or may not be afforded to them, it is our belief this lack of transparency places the clubs, their members, the officials, the volunteers and the property owners at risk.

As established promoters and organisers of the sport we were not prepared to adopt this risk or allow that risk to affect anyone who attended our racing events, hence the AMCA has secured our own insurance for racing.

Some of the benefits of the AMCA are:

  • We have access to properties all over Australia and actively seek more when required

  • We take the time to meet with landowners and develop trusting relationships

  • We increase the number of motorcycling events that are conducted each year

  • We created, promote and run the Australian Hard Enduro Championship

  • We work with regional, rural communities and councils to bring events to their area

  • We have created an excellent relationship with our insurers, with a focused & common goal of growth for the sport in a sustainable & affordable environment

  • We are able to conduct and sanction events on a schedule that works with the property owners, clubs and the volunteers

  • We provide landowners & councils with bespoke public liability insurance to the value of $20 million

  • We provide Personal Accident cover for all of our competitors, riders & volunteers

  • We can create our own guidelines and rules that benefit the sport, the competitors, the clubs and their members
